Class of Nuke 'Em High 2: Subhumanoid Meltdown (USA) (video box title)
THE PLOT:
Something strange is going on at the Tromaville Institute of Technology built on the ruins of Tromaville High School. A crazed
and equally under dressed scientist is out to create a race of slaves for our sexual amusement. But their genetic structure
is unstable and when they have a meltdown, it's in more ways then one. One good hearted jock falls for one of these Subhumanoids
and must find a way to save his lady love before she too sercomes to it and becomes a green blob.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
The first movie has it taste issue and so far every movie that comes out of Troma has those same taste issues, this is not
exception. But I kind of liked this one, even better then the first movie. I like the giant killer mutant squirrel. The
story works, the humor if crude is funny. So 9 1/2 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd, this movie was corny but fun. More fun then even the first movie. But the newer movies from Troma has
gone down hill, since when is just gross humor funny? I blame shows like South Park which is nothing but gross humor. But
anyway, 6 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ EFFECTS (Though cheaply done were impressive.)
+ CAST (The cast does a good job.)
+ HUMOR (Crude but funny.)
+ GIRLS (Like all Troma flicks, lots of pretty girls to look at.)
+ STORY (The story works.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- VIOLENCE (I'm no prude, but I think sometimes Troma adds violence for violence sake and it just seemed tacked on and only
hinders the story and not helps it.)
- CRUDE TASTELESS HUMOR (The tasteless humor isn't funny.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't crazy about the first movie then you most likely won't like this.)
