THE PLOT:

A new tenents of a apartment complex gets stranger when the daughter gets replaced by Torok the Troll who wishes the modern world was more like the world of fairies and fantasy.

Now Torok is out to transform the tenents of the building into those creatures of long ago. The only thing that can stop him is the girl's brother with ironic name of Harry Potter Jr. and a good Witch.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Charles Band has created some memorable monsters in his history of film making. But Torok the Troll is one of the most memorable. The cast does a great job, the creature effects are effective and the dialog works. The plot is cool and the realms he creates within the confines of an apartment is incredible. My only complaint is if they went for the R rating we could have seen more of that naked little Pixie. But what can you you do, what's perfect. Very few things. Also, if you aren't into little monsters running around and Trolls turning people into fairy creatures then this isn't the movie for you. So another worth edition to your Charles Band library, but try to get it without TROLL 2, which you learn all about why it sucks when I review next month. 9 STARS for TROLL 1.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree and don't get me started on that pile of bile Troll 2, you will read that soon enough. But it was nice to see Anne and June Lockheart together. Mother and daughter in the same movie is kind of cool. June famous for Lost In Space and Anne famous for the good Battlestar Galactica, not that crapper they call Battlestart Galactica or as I'd like to call the new one Basterised Galactica. But the Troll effects and the worlds are impressive. 9 STARS as well.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CREATURE (The creature effects are impressive.)
+ TOROK (That's one mean troll. Even though I thought Trolls were taller?)
+ CAST (It's cool to see Anne and June Lockheart together in one movie.)
+ ACTING (The acting is marvelous.)
+ WORLDS (The fantasy worlds look massive, it's hard to believe it was an apartment at one time.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- PG-13 (I just wish they went with the R rating.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you don't like Troll movies, this isn't the movie for you.)
