THE PLOT:

A top secret military experiment is under way. To genetically create smart sharks that can be trained like dolphins. But something has gone wrong and the five sharks have escaped captivity.

It seems someone has trained these smart sharks to kill and let them out to do some damage. Now Matthew Collins and his wife are under arrest, falsely accused of tampering with their own projects for money and must escape to prove their innocence and stop the rampaging sharks before they kill again.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

I got to admit, the plot is weak in places. The CG is good, but far from perfect. The sharks look great, but there is this one scene of the camera raises up from under the water to reveal the Golden Gate Bridge, and the water looks like something out of a video game. The cast does a great job with what they were given to work with. But there is serious character issues and plot issues. There are some plot holes large enough for a great white to swim through. But I got to admit some of the dialog is funny and the chemistry between the two Doctor Collins work. But for the most part I think the movie makers could have done better, for one thing, they didn't act any smarter then any other shark in any other movie. So where is the smart part? Still, not a total waste, you can do worse then BLUE DEMON, but on the other hand, you can do better. 4 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with what Zedd said, but I do believe that he's being to generous again. four stars, that's mighty generous for a movie I found annoying in places. But he's made several points about the humor. 3 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CAST (The cast does a great job with what was given to them.)
+ CHEMESTRY (There is chemestry between the two leads.)
+ FUNNY (It does have a cool sense of humor running through it.)
+ SHARKS (The sharks are cool.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- SERIOUS CHARACTER ISSUES (Several characters had monumental character flaws.)
- CGI ERROR (The surface of the water didn't look real.)
- SMART? (Where would be the smart part of the sharks behavor? Blindly following orders isn't smart, it's being a soldier.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you didn't like movies like JAWS and DEEP BLUE, then this isn't the movie for you.)
