A group of friends planning to spend the weekend at a cabin ends in horror when the last tenant read a magic book called the
Necromicon into his tape recorder. When they play the tape it unleashes a hell that are killing them and using their bodies
as puppets called Deadites.
Who said reading never hurts anyone? This is a classic story with classic creature effects. Now the creature effects could
have been better but as a whole, this is a true buried treasure and I give it 9 STARS.
This is why I'm against time shares. The last guy could have left a mess to clean up or start the apocalypse. But I do agree
with ZEDD, younger people must see this movie and see it soon. 9 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story is scary and it works.)
+ ATMOSPHERE (Spooky and scary.)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ STOP MOTION (Some cool stop motion.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- WEAK CREATURE EFFECTS (Some of the make up effects could have been better.)
